Canadian Gaming News: AbsoluteBet Latest To Join the Party in Ontario

With the announcement that AbsoluteBet Corp. has obtained a license from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) to begin operations, the igaming market in Ontario continues to expand.

Licensed Operators in Ontario Are Now 50

AbsoluteBet was granted a license on August 27 and is currently completing the final step before going live: signing an operating agreement with iGaming Ontario, which oversees the business relationship with operators. This information was first reported in Gaming America and verified by a review of AGCO's license search platform.

With 87 gambling websites presently operational in the province, a cursory look at iGaming Ontario's list of live operators reveals the number is still at 50.

Even though the market is aging, the addition of AbsoluteBet, based in Ontario, indicates that the province's market is still growing.

AbsoluteBet claims on its website that it manages regulated online casinos with a "special focus on Ontario."

Caesars Signs On With Evoplay

With the announcement of a collaboration with Caesars Entertainment in Ontario, Evoplay made yet another step to increase its footprint in Canada.

In March, the business formally entered the regulated Ontario igaming market. Earlier in August, it announced a similar content agreement with Rivalry.

Twenty of its well-known games, such as Hot Triple Sevens, Triple Chili, and The Greatest Catch Bonus Play, have been incorporated into Caesars Palace Online Casino in Ontario as a result of the recent cooperation with Caesars.  Ice Mania, Fruit Nova, Hot Volcano, and Inner Fire Bonus Buy are also available to gamers in Ontario.
